Carole joined the Pikes Peak of Bust Foundation Board in 2020. She follows in the footsteps of other family members who have been involved with the Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo for many years, most notably her father Robert C. Norris.
Carole grew up in the Colorado Springs area and graduated from the Colorado Springs School. She attended Colorado State University where she met and married her husband, Ron. Through the years they co-owned several businesses including Sondrup Cattle Company in Yoder, Colorado and Sondrup Cattle Company in Livermore, Colorado. Additionally, they owned and managed Westridge Forest Products in Bellvue, Colorado and Fort Collins Floral in Fort Collins, Colorado.
Carole authored a children’s book titled Elephants Love Cowboys Too! for which she received several awards. She is currently getting ready to open a yoga studio in Windsor, Colorado.
Carole has served on the Colorado State University Foundation, the Poudre Valley Hospital Foundation and the Poudre Valley Hospital Finance Committee.
Carole and Ron live in Windsor, Colorado and have three children and seven grandchildren all of whom live in the Denver area.
